This Cancer New Moon lands at 22°, a degree the sky itself calls "I came but to remember." It is not asking you to become someone new. It is asking you to close a healing chapter that has been quietly completing since December, and to step — with far more self-compassion than the work first required — into what's next.

In our Year of the Fire Horse, July carries the theme of mid-year truth and recalibration. This live practice is that recalibration, held in the body.

This practice is an embodiment of Aset (Isis), the Divine Mother of Kemetic tradition — a living principle of love, wisdom, magic, and intuition, known to the ancients as She Who Remembers. When her beloved Asar (Osiris) was scattered into pieces, Aset did not despair — she searched, gathered every part of him, and through her devotion and her magic, re-membered and resurrected him whole. We don't call on her from the outside. We move like her, breathe like her, chant like her — until that same wisdom, intuition, and magic awaken as our own. There is no more precise archetype for a New Moon asking us to gather our own scattered pieces home.

 

Together we'll move gently through Kemetic yoga (Smai Tawi) postures embodying Aset's qualities, weave in Hekau — sacred chanting and words of power — and rest in slow, devotional movement. This is not a workout. It is a re-membering.

 

This gathering is part of Moon Temple — our monthly living Temple tradition, where each lunation opens with a different devotional theme.
